Happy Masters Eve! Some future bets to add to the excitement:

Top 10

  • Lee Westwood (+400)

Top 20

  • Jim Furyk (+250)
  • Ryan Moore (+250)
  • Fred Couples (+325)

Back Again

Sorry doods,

I meant to pick the games yesterday, then I just didn’t. If I had, they would have been winners.

Hot Fire:

UMass +5.5 vs. Tennessee
Coastal Carolina+21 vs. UVA
DOOK-13 vs. Mercer
Memphis -3.5 vs. George Washington
Stanford +4 vs. New Mexico
Kansas-14 vs. E. Kentucky
Baylor -4 vs. Nebraska
UL Lafayette +14 vs. Creighton
NCU -4 vs. Providence
Iowa St. -8 vs. NC Central
VCU -6.5 vs. Stone Cold
UCLA -8 vs. Tulsa
OK St. -2.5 vs. Gonzaga

I’m actually betting real money on most of these. Holler at your boy to find out. I’ll be in the truck with AckNasty on the way to celebrate the Polar Bears final few days of freedom.

It’s Going to Be Alright

Everybody can just calm the fuck down now……..I’m back. Now I know things have been pretty lean for most of you degenerates this CBB season considering you’ve had to make your own CBB picks. But Daddy’s back and he’s going to do his best to pick EVERY GAME OF THE NCAA TOURNAMENT, as long as the Bach Party house Braleigh rented has WiFi. What’s that? Why did it take me 4 months to go out for a pack of cigarettes? Ask your Mom. All that matters is that I’m here now, and I probably won’t go out for another pack until after the National Championship game, and that might take a little longer.
Mt. St. Mary’s +2 vs. Albany
Let’s be honest, these teams blow. I’m taking the points. And…….I think it already tipped off.

NCSU +3 vs. Xavier
The puppies have the best player on the court for sure. But that hasn’t stopped them from losing a ton of games when that was still the case. That being said, State has good momentum coming into the tournament and it wouldn’t shock me to see them string a couple wins together.

Bear In Mind

Thank goodness for future bets last week as Day saved the… day… and brought us into the black for the tournament. A few quick picks for the Honda Classic:

  • Charl Schwartzel (even) over Scott
  • Charles Howell III (-140) over Watney
  • Keegan Bradley (-105) over Z. Johnson

ETA: My local offshore bookie has conveniently posted top 10 odds for this tournament, so let’s gamble. Lee Westwood (+425) has hit that mark 3 of the past 4 years here and I don’t see that trend changing this week. Want a dark horse? Try Jupiter, FL resident Will MacKenzie (+550) who’s been quietly killing it as of late and has a little bit of a track record here (T5 2009, T12 2010). Also considered Rickie Fowler (+260) and GMac (+205) but the prices aren’t right.

Round Two

Well, I sure has hell lit something with a match today but it was probably more closely related to a steaming bag of dog feces than golf bets. Good grief what a day at Dove Mountain – some strange results and the threesome of Lynn /Stallings / Gallacher pissed away nice wins my money in the final holes. Thankfully all my future bets are still alive and well so here’s to chasing with a few bets in the round of 32.

  • Victor Dubuisson (-115) over Hanson
  • Patrick Reed (-115) over Coetzee
  • Hideki Matsuyama (+105) over McDowell
  • Matteo Manassero (+120) over Dufner

Light The Match

February Madness is here. As you’ve probably come to expect, there won’t be any bets laid on heavy favorites here – it’s all about finding value.

First Round Matchups

  • Francesco Molinari (-110) over Bjorn
  • Miguel Angel Jimenez (+130) over Haas
  • Victor Dubuisson (-120) over Streelman
  • Chris Kirk (even) over Furyk
  • David Lynn (+140) over Snedeker
  • Scott Stallings (+115) over Dufner
  • Louis Oosthuizen (-115) over Watney
  • Stephen Gallacher (-125) over Els

Overall Winner

  • Jason Day – 13/1
  • Matt Kuchar  20/1
  • Webb Simpson – 25/1

You could make a great case for Hunter Mahan at 20/1, but there will be serious carnage coming out of the Snead bracket and I’m not going to try and predict who survives.

48th Sunday

OMAHA! Everyone, and I mean everyone, jumped on the Broncos when this SB 48 line popped up on the boards almost two weeks ago. It raced all the way to DEN -3 before settling at 2.5 at most shops (although still at 3 with heavy juice at some). Obviously, Peyton Manning is involved so it makes sense. However, you can’t ignore that this game is outside in the cold even if the weather is better than expected. He’s sub .500 ATS & SU when it’s colder than 40F, and a lot of those games didn’t involve the #1 defense in the league or an opposing offense that can quietly put up points. I’m taking Beast Mode over Papa John.

The pick: Seahawks (+3)

The bet: Seahawks / Over teaser (SEA +9 / ov 41)
